28.8.2024: Last Information

Hi fellow jugglers

You may have noticed: The Swiss Juggling Convention in Winterthur is just a few days away. It will start this Friday, 30th August at 15:00 with open Halls until Sunday afternoon, 1st September 2024. Make sure to come by and join us for a great program and generally a lot of fun. Don’t miss the open stage on Friday or the Gala-show Saturday at 18:30. And if you’d like to try something new, maybe the Universal Juggling Battles are something for you? Together with the Juggling Games on Sunday there are a lot of great prices awaiting winners, including a set of LED clubs from FlowToys worth almost 600 CHF!

Oh and before we forget: if you haven’t done so yet, this is the moment you should sign up for the accommodation. We’re almost at capacity…

To get to the festival we suggest to use the public transport. You can either take the train to the stations Oberwinterthur or Winterthur Hegi or take the Bus to one of the stops Winterthur, Else Züblin or Winterthur, Hegifeld. In case you arrive by car there are parking spaces of Burckhardt Compression. The way is marked starting at the exit Oberwinterthur (72) of the A1.

In order to provide you with food, we partnered up with the neighboring restaurants and created special menus for you. Regardless if you crave for Asian (Momos, fried rice), classic festival food (pommes frites, grilled sausages) or Italian (Penne, Pizza) – we have you covered.

It would be great if a lot of you would participate in sharing and introducing new people to your juggling tricks and techniques – especially in form of a workshop. In case you have already thought about offering a workshop, why not add your workshop to the online workshop board now and help to increase the anticipation of other visitors?

Also if you have some spare capacity, we are looking for people helping us. Currently we’re still somewhat short on hands helping setting up the festival area and to put up some decorations on Friday noon, and if there are late night jugglers it would be great to have someone keeping an eye on the halls. If you’d like to help but don’t have that much capacity, we’ll have some smaller clean-up tasks that need to be done. Let us know or come by at the info point to sign up for the tasks.!

Happy juggling and looking forward to seeing you soon

Simon in the name of the OC

PS: If you’re still missing some information, have a look at the homepage https://jonglierfestival.ch. You should be able to find everything there – and if, contrary to our expectations, something is still missing you can simply reach out to us 😉.

PPS: Would you like to have a festival near you? Why not organize one yourself! If you are interested or have any questions, please contact us directly or the central board, we would also be happy to organize great festivals in 2025 and 2026 (and even further into the future).

3.7.2024: Registration Open

Dear Jugglers

The 37th Swiss Juggling Convention in Winterthur from August 30 to September 1, 2024 is slowly taking shape. You can now register for the accommodation we are offering in the gym, simply use the form on our website. An overnight stay including breakfast costs CHF 25, we have 50 places in the gym hall Hegifeld (bring your own mat and sleeping bag). Places will be allocated according to the receipt of registrations. No registration is required for overnight stays elsewhere or one-day visits, but it makes planning easier for us.

Thanks to our generous space with the Eulachpark and our two halls 710 and Neuhegi, we have up to 2,000m2 of space for all activities, even in bad weather. You can expect a varied program with the gala show, Fire Space and great juggling games and juggling halls which are open around the clock!

Want to try something new? In the style of dance battles, the idea of the Universal Juggling Battles is that two jugglers compete directly against each other and do their best to get through to the next round. A jury decides who makes it through to the finals and secures the title of Battle Champion. Sign up now for this too!

If you are constantly being asked "how do you do it?" or if you are particularly good at something, then why not take the opportunity and enrich us with a workshop?

We would be thrilled if you and your friends would join us!

Simon on behalf of the OC
